"The farm" has a long history, In the 1980s, a group of Red Barn restaurant franchisees were left with barn buildings and no Red Barn name. Many of the franchisees got together and decided to change all of their names to "The Farm". The Farm Restaurant in Racine may now be the last of its kind. The menu items are the same though the names of the items may have changed. It has Farmbusters instead of the original Barnbuster and we still serve the same chicken.

Yes that was Bill Murray! More Classic Commercials Below.

The Red Barn Restaurants were a franchised restaurant chain out of Dayton Ohio back in the late 1960's that you probably

remember well because of their distinctive barn shaped buildings throughout the US and Ontario, Canada.

You probably have some good memories, pre internet and pre rat race. At it's peak, I believe there were

more than 300 restaurants, perhaps as many as 400". The Red Barn chain was sold again in the late 70s, this time to Motel 6.

Motel 6 only wanted Servomation Corp., not the Red Barn chain. Over time with little or no advertising, leases ran out and

the restaurants closed. In its 20+ year run, the Red Barn operated in 22 states, Canada and Australia.

Today "The Farm" in Racine could be the very last standing throw back to the red barn legend. The style and design

is the same and the food is still the best around.

In you are anywhere near Racine, Wisconsin it is definitely worth the trip.
